ABOUT ME
background
My name is Laurel Limbaugh Patrick. I am an Interior Designer located in Birmingham Alabama. My background includes both residential and commercial Interior Design having trained under Birmingham's renowned Interior Designer, Bob Moody. After passing the NCIDQ exam, likened to the bar exam for Interior Designers, I began work as Laurel Limbaugh Interior Design My love for design is only overshadowed by my love for my two wonderful rambuchous children and my loving and hilarious family! I find balance in my hectic schedule through design work. It is a perfect harmony of my two true passions!
EXPERIENCE
My commercial experience includes law firms, doctors offices, hospital work, several restaurant and bar projects, apartment home clubhouse, and extended stay hotel project. Residential projects include Birmingham Symphony Showhouse, residential renovations and additions, new home construction and lake house design and renovation. Working in both commercial and residential Interior Design has provided me with a wealth of exposure to unique and creative solutions.
PROCESS
Good design rarely just happens. It is the result of careful and creative planning executed properly. It begins with a design concept based on form and asthetics , followed by I enjoy every aspect of the design process and am available to assist each client with as little or as much as they need for their design projects success!
Design concept through installation, I am happy to provide as much or as little guidence as they need for theiro particular project.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
To create an interior space that represents each client at their very best! I believe good design is based on the elements of contrast, texture, layers, color, depth, and something unexpected!
